Next AR book test is due by October 16.  Book must be worth at least 3 points or higher.

 

ELA:

Monday: Bellwork – Noun review lessons 16, 17, and 18 – discuss prior knowledge of nouns, find in given sentences.

                            - We will add pages to their INBs and will use them as we discuss the powerpoint on commas. We will practice using the commas with the given sentences from the powerpoint.  

                                  – Verbs on Study Island – earn a ribbon

                                                        

Tuesday:  Bellwork worksheet – types of sentences, recognizing declarative, imperative, interrogative and exclamatory – front/back

              Bellwork continued:  Nouns quiz 16-20

              Using their INB notes we will review comma rules.  Using worksheet 12/13 the students will practice what they know of using commas in the text.

              Read – library book

Wednesday: Bellwork Pronouns lessons 21 and 22

                   Commas review worksheet 112, there will be possible bonus points on this worksheet

                       Flocabulary lesson on Commas – completing only the video, vocabulary game, read and respond, and quiz. 

                   Read library book

                 

Thursday:  Bellwork – more pronouns lesson 23 and 26

                Practice with commas worksheet – complete 1-20 with a partner – discussing the possible rules each sentence could follow.  Another possibility for bonus points.

                 Read library book

                 If all finish – begin lesson on compound subjects and predicates within sentences.  

Friday:  Bellwork – nouns lessons 27 and 28

            Read aloud to class Unstoppable You

            Test on Commas wkst 14/15

            Finish compound subjects and predicates lesson.  completing pieces for the INB to add notes and recognition of punctuation that can be used with compound sentences. 

 

 

Reading for Pleasure:

Monday:  Read aloud to class – Restart

              Discuss next book to read – pick a partner, we will be looking for books that have 2 of a kind so each partner can read if other partner is not there.  Discuss at the end will have a prezi that they will collaborate on share with the class.
